Comfortable Routines and Other Unnewsworthy News

It's been a while since the last post, so might as well drop in a few lines.

After a more or less voluntary break at the end of the last year, I've found myself a pretty comfortable routine by alternating day by day between working on the secrets of a territory and the child events of several lovers. This has resulted in steady work but also in nothing worth reporting without spoiling the fun.

The child events will be finished much sooner than the secrets, at which point I'll probably use the alternating days for new content or some other small feature. I've had a couple interesting ideas for these kinds of features during these last few weeks but as the game gets more complex they need more time cooling off before they can be shoved in with the rest. Some of them after all could easily turn out to be redundant or conflicting, and I'd hate to report something that just doesn't work and must be taken out afterwards.

For some reason I also felt like doodling for the first time in several years. I'd like to claim that I'm rusty but I've never been that good at it to begin with. We won't be seeing any drawings inside the game yet (the switch to widescreen has to come first), but if the unnewsworthiness persists and the doodling trend continues there is a small chance some sketches might find their way into the blog to at least help illustrate a few concepts. Alternatively, there could just be more lore posts.

I'm well aware however that the entire setting has been playing in your head in a certain style for a long time, so suddenly illustrating it in a different manner might come as a shock to some. This is actually one of the excuses reasons why the game has been mostly keeping a low profile so far, but I also hope that at least 3 out of all 4(?) of you that have been following the development for some time will be able to overlook this when it happens.
