Somebody recently mentioned that increasing stats such as Intelligence appeared to be harder in this new version. I went through the whole thing but couldn't find anything that could have caused a change, so instead I tweaked the randomness to make sure it provides more reliable results.
Therefore, stats now have pity timers and each failure to increase a stat after an appropriate event will significantly increase the chances that the next one will work. While at it, I also made it slightly easier to get rid of the "Unknown" perceived character, and made learned abilities a little more predictable, making it much easier for all but the hardest actions to succeed if your stats are appropriate.
In an unrelated topic, I've been considering for quite a while to move the game's resolution to a widescreen 16:9 one. The game window should still be resizable but this might cause problems to people using lower resolutions for any reason, since the default window resolution might become something like 1066x600.
This would get rid of most if not all of the texts that exceed their frames and allow more space in information screens, but I wouldn't want anybody to be left out. A poll has been set at the sidebar so you can let me know what effects would this have on your experience.
