Envoys can now not only reach truces, but buy land peacefully from occupying units, which makes a more commercial and less military kind of gameplay possible. However, you can't buy land from monsters, you have to fend those away just the same if you want to control their turfs.
Truces also changed a little, you can still reach them with monsters and mundane units, but you require a terrifying envoy for the former an a cunning envoy for the latter. I'm sure that with time I'll be expanding the envoy system adding more options, so long as they are meaningful gameplay-wise.
But other things might change even before the next release, I'm finding myself bogged down in the actual work system. It is not boring, but it consumes a lot of time in exchange of a small amount of amusement for the player and myself. I would like to develop a system to replace it that allows me to work faster and gives me a better ratio of work hours per gameplay hours. A well designed system might take even less to finish than the current two-thirds-complete system, so it wouldn't necessarily delay things further.
