The game will now sometimes mix some of the basic events for latent dooms as long as less than 2 territories have been destroyed, allowing a greater pool of rumours and local news to be displayed in all games.
This won't have a great effect on the gameplay, but it should make the game's world a little livelier. It also contributes to create the feeling that something's wrong when 2 territories are destroyed and colonists start to become fixated in certain kinds of behaviours or certain things start to happen much more often.
Since the system for dooms is already done, the creative work is all that is left. However, I either keep discarding new dooms that end up being uninteresting or get stuck coming up with events for them, so the counter usually moves quite slowly now. Still, I rather take my time thinking them well than rush something into the game that I might later regret.
I guess a new release could be put together once we get a significant variety of latent dooms, but there are some other things that might or might not be added before that. It's tempting to just add all the neat-sounding possible features that come to mind from time to time, but with more and more features and systems already in place you have to more carefully consider each new addition first.
