The worst part of the holidays is over, so I should be able to recover my usual working pace now.
The latest developments won't be very exciting for veteran players, but the next version of Anamnesis will feature some of the shortest tutorials in the world.
I really don't like the idea of guiding the players, but a tutorial has been a long lasting request, so this should serve as a compromise. Governor mode will guide the player to get a unit and explore a territory, merchant venturer mode explains how to star making money with a trade contract and if you start as an adventurer the game will tell you a little about renascent interactions and retrieving pieces, but that's about it. The longest tutorial is 6 sentences long.
They take the form of text in parenthesis, much like the unresearched piece messages, that disappear once you click, so they shouldn't be too intrusive either. Hopefully this should help new players get at least a general idea of what's going on without actually forcing them to do anything.
