I believe it is pretty safe to say that the next version will be ready before October is over.
You'll soon see a sharp increase in the number of pending "Revisions and proofreading" items, but they'll drop faster than other items such as skills and outcast events, so that's nothing to worry about. It will later be followed by an even quicker "Misc. pre-release stuff" item for compiling and uploading the game, updating the Help and Development Goals pages and other stuff like that.
These past few days I've been doing some important tweaks to the game, some of them being long due requests made by several people.
The most visible change is that Governors, Merchant Venturers and Adventurers will start the game with a little more Arkhe to make things a little bit easier. If you want a greater challenge, remember that you will still be able to start as an Outcast with 0 Arkhe, 0 Merits and no base.
Investments will now also take about 2 more weeks on average because everybody was getting rich with them. The trend will be to make them take progressively longer as new ways to finance oneself are implement inside the game, such as this version's maritime trade.
Other minor changes include the fact that events generating messages like "This cost The Court/The Influence X Arkhe." won't affect players with or below shelter/refuge bases, and finally the renaming of the Tendency "Worship of Greater Beings" to "Cultism" to save screen space in the Colony screen for the oversea fronts.
