You deserve a reward for bearing with me over these last few months of near development inactivity, so in the next version of Anamnesis you'll be able to exert absolute power over the colony when you become an emperor/empress instead of simply winning the game.
It always felt like a waste to end the game at that point and besides this allows me to have some feyfolk grant you "Your Own Empire" as a binding benefit, so I decided to go for it.
When you turn the colony into your empire, you'll gain 2 new powers for now. For starters, you won't be getting any more of that voting nonsense. The proposals will be presented to you by the lobbies as normal but you'll be the one to accept or reject them. You might just be inclined however to decree or veto a proposal based on the 6 Favours that might be offered to you by the lobbies instead of the usual 1 for your vote as a normal aristocrat.
You might also just get tired altogether of having other aristocrats strutting around your empire like they own the place, so you'll also get to banish them at will, although you will cause a little backlash in the form of a Local Tension increases according to the target aristocrat's current Merits.
Of course, your absolute power and the good old envy of the rest of the aristocracy will increase Local Tension over time, but you'll be free to abdicate at any point using a new option in the Correspondence menu to get rid of that burden and the taxes amounting to 1 Arkhe per each 100 colonists times the Overall Economic Rating of the colony.
There is always however the chance that you made a pact with the wrong kind of feyfolk to get your own empire without reading the fine print and you find yourself constantly forced to rule your own empire whether you like it or not while the Local Tension piles up and population becomes more and more rebellious as a consequence.
As always, of course, more work can be done in this direction in the future.
