Seafaring was clearly the most useless stat, so I replaced it with Ferrying capacity.
The Ferrying stat will measure the unit's capacity to transport people and supplies through water instead of how capable it is of reaching distant ports safely. From now on, as long as a unit has any ferrying value greater than 0, the game will considered it seaworthy. Some events have been assuming after all that a round trip into the mainland can be achieved in under a week by large vessels with time to spare, so smaller boats should be able to achieve this as well with the proper equipment.
Of course, this Ferrying capacity is almost as useless an ability as Seafaring is if you are confined inside the colony. It will have, however, a couple of interesting uses for oversea campaigns, so I believe the conversion was worth the hassle of revising all the current Seafaring events.
Unfortunately, lots of real life stuff happened during these last few weeks so I completely lost my working pace, but I think I'm slowly starting to pick it up once more. I wish I had settled for a less ambitious release so I could be able to finish this release sooner though.
I probably get more impatient than you do with this whole lack of releases.
