Finally, I present to you the first public release of Anamnesis, it can be downloaded from the "Downloads" section at your right.
Expect to find bugs, since the game's nature makes it hard to test properly, but hopefully nothing will ruin the experience, at least too much. Expect typos as well, for the proofreading was kind of hasty and some texts were written years ago when my grasping of written language was lacking.
Please report any bugs and typos you find so they can be fixed. I would also like to know whether if you find any part of the game confusing or awkward so I can revise it. Actually, I would appreciate any feedback for that matter.
I'm actually still reluctant to make a public release, but I guess that's a feeling I'll have to learn to live with.
I have no idea how people out there will receive this game. I realize it's not exactly the general audience's cup of tea, but it was never my intention for this game to be something big to begin with.
As I already mentioned elsewhere, my intention was to bring to life the kind of game I longed for but couldn't find during all these years. That much at least I've reached, though of course there is still room for improvement, and so improvements shall be made.
These last years are not representative of what the further development of Anamnesis will look like. Most of those years have been spent rewriting the game from scratch, several times in fact. The foundations have been looking pretty solid during the last months though, so I should be able to have a new version each few months from now on, so long as unexpected real life issues don't get in the way.
But I digress.
I hope you enjoy the game.
