I've done several interesting things these last days.
The first one was to adapt the game for smaller scale operations, enhancing the "Adventuring Explorer" initial setting into a slightly different experience instead of just providing less resources and harder difficulty. An adventuring explorer, as well as anyone that ends up with their fortresses or hideouts destroyed, will end up in a tiny shelter, probably on his/her own. The enemy will go easy on him/her, and might even provide lowly jobs to allow for a decent living, if the player is unable to stay out of trouble however, they will show no mercy, and this time this will finally lead to a game over.
The other big thing I did was to allow the player to dismantle and level controlled territories, turning them into wastelands. This will render the land useless, but also provide scavenged or unburied treasure, though I haven't figured the specifics yet.
More soon, probably.
